Definition of health

Health is a state of complete physical, mental, and soclal well-being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. It encompasses a holistic approach to one's overall well-being, including the physical, mental, and social aspects of a person's life. Health is influenced by a wide range of factors including general socioeconomic and environmental conditions; cultural factors; living and working conditions; social and community networks; and health behaviours and blological factors. These many factors interact to influence the health and health outcomes of individuals and communities. Also known as "health determinants'.
